- Be able to communicate in English fluently with comprehensive skills
- Be able to read and understand the English instruction manuals, technical cross section sketches, diagrams.
- Be able to operate the automation machinery and systems: including the propulsion plant, generator, diesel engine, auxiliaries such as pump, compressor, boiler, purifier etc and other service systems as recommend of manufacturer.
- Be able to carry out maintenance jobs and rectify any problem of the relevant machineries.
- Devoted customer service activities
- Willing to support and work with other team members.

- Engine Cadet onboard the vessel of Norwegian Ship Owners’ based on the co-operation program between Vietnam Maritime University and Norwegian Ship Owners’ Association.
- Lecture at Hai Phong Polytechnic College together with done some translation works.
- Educational Counsellor at Panda Overseas Study Centre.
- Motorman and Junior Engineer onboard the vessel of Norwegian Ship Owner

- Familiarise with overhaul procedures and Maintenance Jobs of Main Engine: Man B&W 6L 60MC and Man B&W S60MC-C as an assistant of senior engineer
- Familiarise with overhaul procedures and maintenance jobs of Generator: Diesel Engine – Bergen Ulstein KRG5 – KRG 7 as an assistant of senior engineer
- Familiarise with rectify and troubleshooting the problems of the auxiliary systems such as: fuel system, lubricating systems, cooling systems, and other service systems of propulsion plant as an engineer in duty
- Took responsibility of Purifier, Fuel transferring system, Compressor, Compressed air system, Boiler & Steam system, Pump and pumping system as a 4th Engineer on board the vessel
