Mô tả công việc
1.Supports supplier development in metrology through sample measurements and feedback, early on involvement in drawing and GD&T reviews, and early supplier measurement capability evaluations.
2.Supports supplier in developing inspection strategies to meet business needs for the
Corporation.
3.Ensures supplier measurement validation through MSA prior to production release and
continued measurement validation through out the production life cycle.
4.Audit and manage supplier Metrology capability
5.Establish measurement method and WIs, train technicians for all kinds of measurement methods.
6.Review measurement method from suppliers to make sure both supplier and Milwaukee lab measurement are in alignment
7.Coordinate with supplier for new metrology equipment, test equipment, and other
measurement instrumentation, to be in alignment with Milwaukee Tool standards whenever possible.
Part Measurement and Part Qualification
1.Interprets drawings featuring Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 to identify product inspection requirements.
2.Document, and edit programs utilized in metrology labs such as CALYPSO, Polyworks, PC-DMIS, etc. and serves as technical expert for metrology inspection.
3.Develop new inspection techniques as required.
4.Ability to evaluate, interpret and provide input in gage and gage fixture design.
5.Support in gage and gage fixture process as needed, from procurement to release for
production use.
Design Assistance and Training
1.Participates in design reviews with cross-functional teams to ensure that conformance to specifications, Design for inspection, reliability, and quality system objectives are met.
2.Work from written or verbal instructions, detailed engineering drawings, and 3D models to establish inspection criteria and measurement implementation.
3.Maintains adequate training in metrology disciplines to ensure capability to lead team and train others as needed

Yêu cầu công việc
Education: Mechanical Engineering or Technical Degree
Experience: Minimum 04 years' experience working in metrology lab, measuring
equipment, measurement method development, GD&T, gage and fixture
design.
Knowledge
1. Proficient in set-up and operation of inspection equipment
2. Proficient in MSA, Gauge R&R , test method validation and correlation
3. Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
4. Proficient in mathematical applications- Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, etc.
